Cleverness that cuts corners is the scheme of a small man;

it never grows large, and soon fades without a trace.

Philosophy of Life

Business competition is an endurance race run at the limit. Every "clever solution" that tries to bypass the underlying logic and relies on short-term arbitrage is, in essence, borrowing from the future at a punitive rate.

Make the effort to feel what a good family life and being needed actually give you, and you will find it far outweighs any growth in business numbers. Once you really feel that, most of the anxiety and the scorekeeping falls away on its own.

Background

I have spent years in the real economy and in commercial vehicle risk management, watching company after company fight for survival under asset-heavy operations, high turnover, and shifting market cycles. That front-line experience made one thing plain to me: competition in business is never only about who moves fastest, it is about who lasts longest when conditions get extreme.

hile I was running Hong-An Insurance Agency, I set out to take vertical-industry commercial vehicle insurance as far as it could go, rebuilding the traditional pricing and risk framework around real operating scenarios and real data. I became the youngest chairman of an insurance agency licensed by Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission.

Personal Interests

Traveling with my wife and son. This is my greatest interest right now. Watching my son grow brings a grounded kind of happiness that beats the return on any deal.

Connecting the right people. I have no patience for networking that goes nowhere, but I take real pleasure in linking up key resources and capable friends from different circles, so that by drawing on each other everyone gets things done.
